What is a FAQ?

Why should I join organic arable?

How much do you charge for your services?

Who owns organic arable?

Is organic arable a co-operative?

How should I format the text on the page?

A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."

Q: Why should I join organic arable?
A: We offer a great grain marketing service and as a member you get this service at a lower commission rate that if you aren't a member.  In addition you get technical support, our regular newsletters about the market, a subscription to the Organic Research Centre Bulletin and invitations to our events.
A: We also are the only representative body of organic arable producers in the UK.  Our voice is sought and listened to by other stakeholders and so we are an effective way for your concerns to be voiced.
A: As a member you will be surveyed about your cropping details and so better more accurate information can be supplied to the buyers of your grain about the UK harvest.  This gives buyer more confidence in the UK supply chain and so more confidence to buy UK grain.

Q: How much do you charge for your services?
A: We have a transparent approach to our charges unlike most grain merchants.  We charge our members 3% of the sale value of the contract and we charge non-members 3.25% for the same service.

A: It's a good idea to use a different format, such as bold, for the questions, so that it is easy to distinguish them from the answers.

Q: Is organic arable a co-operative?
A: No.  We are structured as a limited company because co-operatives can sometimes be cumbersome to administer and we want to be cheap and easy to run.  The company is owned and directed by farmers and they have determined the company should be run with similar objectives to those of a co-operative - that we benefit our members through the work that we do.
A: Organic arable is owned by a group of 5 farmers, Organic Research Centre and Openfield.  The aims of the company is not to make large returns for the shareholders but rther to return maximum benefit to members.  We do of course need to make a small profit.
